While positioning the resident in bed the resident was being turned to her right side. The bariatric resident reached for [REDACTED] 's hand for assistance. While turning the resident grabbed and pulled the [REDACTED] 's right thumb instead of her hand.

Initially CRMC ED treated the employee for Acute traumatic pain in the right upper extremity (hand). After the consult with Cullman Regional Orthopedics and Sports Medicine P.C. [REDACTED] diagnosed the employee with. Right wrist ulnar sided sprain strain.
