What happened

I was assessing my pt who had restraints on as I was going to check the pts radial pulse I was stuck by a needle that was left in the bed in the palm of my right hand. The pt was then tested for any blood born illnesses as I wasn 't sure what the needle had been used for. The pt tested negative for [REDACTED]. I didn 't need any medical care as I immediately washed my hands with soap and water and my skin wasn 't broken there was no blood .
