What happened

I was helping OR 7 with a room turnover. I took the lid off of a genesis pan to take the filters out and check them for the scrub tech. I held it in my left hand and removed the filter cover with my right hand. The lid shifted in my grip and a jagged edge of metal cut my left palm.
