What happened

The EE was working by the register. The EE needed to staple a receipt. The stapler got stuck the EE pulled on the receipt and stapler. When the stapler opened suddenly it struck the EE 's finger and the EE ended up getting a staple in their left index and middle fingers. The EE sustained punctures to the left index and middle fingers. The staples were all the way in the EE 's fingers. The EE reports that they have some numbness in the left index finger.
