Delivering a package that she had missed earlier.

What happened

On [REDACTED] at approximately [REDACTED] Rural Carrier was involved in a motor vehicle accident. The rural carrier was turning left to deliver a missed package to [REDACTED] when her POV was struck by a dump truck that tried to pass. Carrier stated to the Supervisor that she was reaching behind her to retrieve the package before entering the customer driveway The carrier had to be cut out of the vehicle with the jaws of life and was transported to Cape Fear Valley Hospital in [REDACTED] by ambulance. The supervisor has gone to the hospital to check on the carrier and her condition. There was no ambulance transport of the customer. Additional information will be sent when provided.
