Before the incident

What happened

The deflector was being held with his top hand when it became stuck on the shaft. The employee wiggled the deflector free and it came sliding down the shaft. The employee tried to catch it with his left hand and it pinched his left middle finger between the shaft and deflector as the deflector fell.
