Before the incident
Employee arrived for shift and noticed a hissing noise from the pneumatic system on the potting equipment. Employee saw water was built up in the drain tub so the employee thought they turned off air pressure and removed the drain tube.
What happened
When drain tube was released there was significant pressure that pinned the employees pinky finger between the tube and a metal box directly beneath it. Employee dumped incorrect air valve and did not validate that the energy was released on the gauge.
