What happened

The worker indicated that she was removing chips from a stopped CNC machine she noted chips stuck in between the cover for the ways. She used pliers to remove the chips without the required safety gloves and said that the CNC chips wrapped around the pliers and her index nger while removing the chips. This action caused a lacerationY cut to her right index nger that she noticed was bleeding. The worker said that she only wears the required gloves when auditors or supervisors walk through.
