Section 5(a)(1) of the Occupational Safety and Health Act of 1970:  The
employer did not
furnish employment and a place of employment which were free from
recognized hazards that
were causing or likely to cause death or serious physical harm to
employees in that employees
were exposed to lacerations from the steel coils:
(a) Lane Steel Co. Inc.:  On or about 9/9/03,  employees were exposed to
lacerations
from the traveling rolled steel on the paxson and octagon coiling/slitting
machines.
Among other means a feasible and acceptable means of abatement is to
barricaded the
area with guardrails or other guards as described in ANSI B11.14.
