Section 5(a)(1) of the Occupational Safety and Health Act of 1970:  The
employer did not
furnish employment and a place of employment which were free from
recognized hazards that
were causing or likely to cause death or serious physical harm to
employees in that employees
were exposed to the hazard of electrical shock or electrocution:
(a) Chemical storage room:
On or about 11/9/05, employees standing on a damp concrete floor were
using or in the
vicinity of equipment plugged into 120 volt non-GFCI protected
receptacles, exposing
them to electric shock or electrocution.
One feasible and useful method to abate this hazard is to ensure that all
120 volt
receptacles are GFCI protected.
