Section 5(a)(1) of the Occupational Safety and Health Act of 1970: The employer did not furnish to each of his employees a place of employment which was free from recognized hazards that were causing or likely to cause death or serious physical harm to employees in that employees were exposed to the hazard of being struck by moving motorized vehicle(s): This hazard existed On or about September 12, 2006 the employer failed to ensure that employee(s) working at this location were kept out of the path of logging truck. Among other methods, feasible and acceptable abatement methods to correct this hazard include, but are not limited to: 1. Establish traffic flow throughout the logging site to minimize congestion, especially in those areas where materials or structures impeded clear view of others in the areas. 2. Expand the Fleet Safety Program to address the presence of pedestrian employees and full implement the program.
