Section 5(a)(1) of the Occupational Safety and Health Act of 1970: The employer did not furnish employment and a place of employment which were free from recognized hazards that were causing or likely to cause death or serious physical harm to employees in that employees were exposed to falling loads: (a) Facility, Bay Hill Drive, Latrobe, PA: On or about June 3, 2009, there were no daily, frequent (monthly) and periodic (yearly) inspections being conducted on the five ton and ten ton hoists. Among other methods, one feasible and acceptable means of abatement is to conduct daily, frequent and periodic inspections in accordance with the manufacturer's recommendations.
