075 Safe employment
(a) " An employer shall do everything necessary to protect life,health and
safety of
employees including but not limited to:
(4) furnishing to each employee employment that are free from recognized
hazards that, in
the opinion of the commissioner, are causing or likely to cause death or
serious physical
harm to employees".
EXAMPLE:Employees were exposed to struck by, caught in or crushed by
safety hazards
due to the employers failure to ensure employees who use tire chains are
trained in the
proper use of the tire chain according to the manufacturer's instructions.
An employee who
had not been trained on the proper use of tire chains had their arm
amputated as a result of
the employers failure to ensure employee training and prohibit the unsafe
practice on not
properly installing the tire chains.ing
