Labor and Employment Article, Section 5-104(a): The employer did not furnish employment and a place of employment which was free from recognized hazards that were causing or likely to cause death or serious physical harm to employees: (a)Date of Violation:08/17/10 Location:Southeast Side of the Building Equipment:AHERN, Model: #6036, Equipment: #67499 Condition:An employee, operating a rough terrain fork lift, did not use its equipped seatbelt. Among other methods, one feasible and acceptable method to correct this hazard, utilize a restraint system in accordance with the current verison of American National Standards Institute (ANSI) B56.1 "Safety Standard for Powered Industrial Trucks," and American Society of Mechanical Engineers (ASME) B56.1-2000, "Safety Standard for Low Lift and High Lift Trucks."
