Section 5(a)(1) of the Occupational Safety and Health Act of 1970: The employer did not furnish employment and a place of employment which were free from recognized hazards that were causing or likely to cause death or serious physical harm to employees in that employees were exposed to falls and crushing injuries from roof collapse: (a) For the employees setting metal plate connected wood roof trusses without installing temporary diagonal bracing, located at 1202 East Broadway, Williston, North Dakota. Among other methods, one feasible and acceptable method to correct this hazard would be to follow the BCSI, Building Component Safety Information - BCSI-B2, Truss Installation & Temporary Restraint/Bracing summary sheet, and the BCSI, Building Component Safety Information - BCSI-B1 Summary Sheet, Guide for Handling, Installing, Restraining and Bracing of Trusses. Abatement Note: Abatement certification and documentation are required for this item (see enclosed "Sample Abatement Certification Letter").tion
