29 CFR 1926.452(w)(1): Scaffolds shall be braced by cross, horizontal, or diagonal braces, or combination thereof, to prevent racking or collapse of the scaffold and to secure vertical members together laterally so as to automatically square and align the vertical members. Scaffolds shall be plumb, level, and squared. All brace connections shall be secured. a. On or about 05/09/2012, Premier Construction Co, Inc., 74 B & 75 Kronprindens Gade, St Thomas VI Scaffold area: Employees were using a two bed tubular frame mobile scaffold to move construction materials to a roof area. One set of cross braces was missing. Note: Certification and documentation of abatement must be submitted for this citation item as required by 29 CFR 1903.19(c) and (d), respectively.
