29 CFR 1926.651(i)(1):     Where the stability of adjoining buildings, walls, or other structures is endangered by excavation operations, support systems such as shoring, bracing, or underpinning shall be provided to ensure the stability of such structures for the protection of employees.    Location - 121 Dudley Road, Wayland, MA:   On or about 12/26/2013, employees excavating under and existing home were not protected from possible structure collapse due to an inadequate support system of the existing home.       or in the alternative:      29 CFR 1926.854(h):     Walls, which serve as retaining walls to support earth or adjoining structures, shall not be demolished until such earth has been properly braced or adjoining structures have been properly underpinned.
