OSH ACT of 1970 Section (5)(a)(1): The employer did not furnish employment and a place of employment which were free from recognized hazards that were causing or likely to cause death or serious physical harm to employees in that employees were exposed to a hazard of being struck by lifting gear.      A) Mayor's Point Terminal on or about December 26, 2013, employee(s) were attaching an endless nylon sling to the top of a vacuum disk located below a suspended steel bar, exposing employees to a struck by hazard.     One feasible and acceptable abatement method to correct this hazard is to install hooks or other devices on the lifting bar for the slings to attach to, so that employees will not have to place their hands between the vacuum device and the lifting bar.
