29 CFR 1910.151(c): Where employees were exposed to injurious corrosive materials, suitable facilities for quick drenching or flushing of the eyes and body were not provided within the work area for immediate emergency use: a) Laboratory: Employees pour Stripit, a corrosive material, into a smaller container for cleaning molds. An eyewash was not available for use, on or about March 7, 2013. ABATEMENT NOTE: Eyewash equipment must have flushing capacity of delivering to the eyes not less than 1.5 liters of water per minute for 15 minutes (Ref. American National Standard Z358.1-1981). No abatement certification or documentation required.
