29 CFR 1926.651(c)(2): A stairway, ladder, ramp or other safe means of egress was not located in trench excavations that were 4 feet (1.22m) or more in depth so as to require no more than 25 feet (7.62m) of lateral travel for employees: a) West Side of the House - On or about December 28, 2012, a work leader and a laborer were observed in an unprotected class C soil excavation measuring 7 feet deep 30 inches wide and 13 feet long without having a ladder for egress exposing them to a cave-in hazard. No abatement certification or documentation required.

No abatement certification or documentation required.
