OSH ACT of 1970 Section (5)(a)(1): The employer did not furnish employment and a place of employment which were free from recognized hazards that were causing or likely to cause death or serious physical harm to employees, in that employees were exposed to the hazards of being hit and/or struck by inadequately secured/suspened stainless steel ventilation hood:   Jobsite:  The employer did not ensure through visual imspetion, observation, and instruction that the overhead stainless steel commercial ventilation hood (Hood) was positively and firmley secured, mounted and/or suspended prior to allowing employees to work under the suspened Hood.  On or about 04/11/2013, The suspended Hood fell and struck an employee's head while the employee was performing a welding operation unbder the Hood, and the employee sustained serious head wounds from the incident.
