29 CFR 1910.107(b)(5)(i): The spraying operations except electrostatic spraying operations shall be so designed, installed and maintained that the average air velocity over the open face of the booth shall be not less than 100 linear feet per minute. Visible gauges or audible alarms or pressure activated devices were not installed to indicate or insure that the required air velocity is maintained: (a) Wisdom Rides, Inc., 3758 County Road 23.7, Merino, CO 80741: On and before April 25, 2013, the air velocity in the plastics paint booth did not have an average velocity of 100 linear feet per minute. The air velocity was measured with an Alnor thermoanemometer Model 9850. The air velocity ranged from 0-80 linear feet per minute. The air velocity was measured at 18 locations throughout the spray booth. (b) Wisdom Rides, Inc., 3758 County Road 23.7, Merino, CO 80741: On and before April 25, 2013, the employer did not have an anemometer installed on the spray booth to ensure that the air velocity was adequate for spraying operations.
