29 CFR 1926.451(b)(5)(ii): The end of a platform greater than 10 feet in length extended over its support more than 18 inches and the platform was not designed and installed so that the cantilevered portion of the platform is able to support employees without tipping, or has guardrails which block employee access to the cantilevered end: (a) Jobsite, 217 Main Street, East Conemaugh, PA: On or about 06/12/13 the 24 ft. platform erected on the ladder jack scaffold extended on each side of the ladder supports approximately 5 feet and were not secured in place to prevent movement. No guardrails were in place to prevent the employees from stepping onto the cantilevered end exposing employees to a potential fall hazard of approximately 16 feet to the ground below.
