OSH ACT of 1970 Section (5)(a)(1): The employer did not furnish employment and a place of employment which were free from recognized hazards that were causing or likely to cause death or serious physical harm to employees in that employees were exposed to struck-by and fall from elevation hazards relating to improperly braced trusses: a) On 06-12-13, employees, who were installing trusses with thirty-five (35) feet spans for new residential construction, did not install the required temporary lateral, diagonal, and web bracing; employees were exposed to struck by and fall from elevation hazards associated with the improperly braced trusses. ABATEMENT CERTIFICATION AND ABATEMENT DOCUMENTATION REQUIRED

29 CFR 1926.501(b)(13): Each employee(s) engaged in residential construction activities 6 feet (1.8 m) or more above lower levels were not protected by guardrail systems, safety net system, or personal fall arrest system, nor were employee(s) provided with an alternative fall protection measure under another provision of paragraph 1926.501 (b): a) On 06-12-13, employees who were installing trusses were working from the surfaces of top wall plate and bottom chord of installed trusses at a height of ten (10) feet above compacted surface without utilizing fall protection equipment. ABATEMENT CERTIFICATION REQUIRED
