Location: 8711 18th Ave., Brooklyn, NY. a) Employer did not ensure that employees working on a tubular welded scaffold were tied off. The employees were exposed to a potential fall of up to approximately 50 ft to the floor below; on or about 7/10/13.

29 CFR 1926.454(c): When the employer has reason to believe that an employee lacks the skill or understanding needed for safe work involving the erection, use or dismantling of scaffolds, the employer shall retrain each such employee so that the requisite proficiency is regained. Retraining is required in at least the following situations: Location: 8711 18th Ave., Brooklyn, NY. a) Employer did not ensure that employees working on a tubular welded scaffold were tied off. The employees were exposed to a potential fall of up to approximately 50 ft to the floor below; on or about 7/10/13.
