29 CFR 1910.101(b): Compressed gas cylinders were not utilized in accordance with Compressed Gas Association Pamphlet P-1-1965, as adopted by 29 CFR 1910.101(b): (a) DPC Industries, Inc. 23500 I-76 Frontage Road, Hudson, CO 80642: On and before August 1st, 2013, the employer did not secure an isolated group of 150 lb compressed gas chlorine cylinders near the filling station. The cylinders were not secured to prevent a struck-by as to cause the group to fall over. The employer did not secure the cylinders in accordance with Section 3.3.8 of the Compressed Gas Association Pamphlet P-1-1965. Among other methods, feasible and acceptable abatement methods to correct this hazard is to secure the cylinders or store them in an area where they are not likely to be knocked over as required by the Handbook of Compressed Gases, Second Edition from the Compressed Gas Association, Part I, Chapter 3: 3.3.8 states that: Do not store cylinders in locations where heavy moving objects may strike or fall on them.
