29 CFR 1910.37(a)(2): Exit routes were not arranged so that employees would not have to travel toward a high hazard area, nor was the hazard effectively shielded by suitable partitions or barriers: The employer does not ensure that each exit route was arranged so that employees would not have to travel toward a high hazard area. This violation occurred on or about March 12, 2014, in the laminating, extrusion, weaving, and conversion areas where employees were exposed to struck-by hazards where the emergency exits located in the south end of the facility, discharged next to an active train track. Pursuant to 29 C.F.R. 1903.19, within ten (10) calendar days of the abatement date, the employer must submit documentation describing the actions it is taking to ensure exit routes discharge to a safe location.

29 CFR 1910.37(a)(3): Exit route(s) were not kept free and unobstructed: The employer does not ensure that each exit route is free and/or unobstructed. This violation occurred on or about March 12, 2014, in laminating, extrusion, weaving, and conversion areas where employees were exposed to fire and tripping hazards while the exit routes were obstructed by hoses and debris. Pursuant to 29 C.F.R. 1903.19, within ten (10) calendar days of the abatement date, the employer must submit documentation describing the actions it is taking ensure emergency exits routes are free and/or unobstructed by materials or equipment either temporarily or permanent.
