Section 5(a)(1) of the Occupational Safety and Health Act of 1970: The employer did not furnish employment and a place of employment which were free from recognized hazards that were causing or likely to cause death or serious physical harm to employees in that employees were injured when the ceiling they were standing on collapsed causing them to come in contact with the concrete floor below.        (a)      Honey Smoked Fish Co. at 21151 E. 31st Circle, Aurora, CO 80011:  On and before March 25, 2014, two employees above the Production Area, standing on 4'x8' insulated ceiling panels made of 6 inch core of EPS (expanded polystyrene), were not protected from falls in that the ceiling panels were not adequately supported to withstand the imposed loads being placed on them caused by the weight of employees and several boxes of materials and other supplies.

29 CFR 1910.242(b):  Compressed air used for cleaning purposes was not reduced to less than 30 psi:          (a)  Honey Smoked Fish Co. at 21151 E. 31st Circle, Aurora, CO 80011:  On and before March 25, 2014 the employer did not ensure the compressed air blow guns used for cleaning off debris in, but not limited to, the General Production area were reduced to less than 30 psi.  The compressed air hand nozzles were not of the safety tips type. This condition potentially exposed employees using the air hose to the hazard of an embolism in the blood stream.
