The fall distance to the concrete floor below was approximately 83 inches. IN THE ALTERNATIVE: 29 CFR 1910.132(a): Protective equipment, including protective shields, barriers, or personal fall arrest systems were not provided, used, and maintained in a sanitary and reliable condition wherever it is necessary by reason of hazards of processes or environment: a/ Inside of the Maintenance Bay, employee(s) climbing up and onto the engine mounting belonging to machinery such as, but not limited to, the John Deere Trackhoe, m/n 892ELC, s/n FF892BX011179, were not provided with a guard rail system or the equivalent.
