29 CFR 1910.145(c)(2)(i): Caution signs were not used to warn against potential hazards or to caution against unsafe practices: a) In the pit area, where there were no caution signs posted to warn employees of the caustic conditions of the lime slurry pits. 29 CFR 1910.1200(f)(9): The employer did not ensure that labels or other forms of warning were legible, in English, and prominently displayed on the container, or readily available in the work area throughout each work shift: a) Near the Washout Pit, where the Danger sign on the above ground storage tank was not legible and was covered with dried lime slurry. b) Near Pit 2, where there was no displayed warning label identifying the lime slurry that was stored within the area.
