On the north side of building 1 where an employee was using a circular saw to cut vinyl siding, eye protection was not used, thereby exposing the employee's eyes to a struck-by hazard.

29 CFR 1926.451(c)(2): Supported scaffold poles, legs, posts, frames, and uprights shall bear on base plates and mud sills or other adequate firm foundation. a. On the east side of building 1 where employee were installing vinyl siding from a pump jack scaffold, the poles of the pump jack were placed on scrap pieces of vinyl on top of wet and muddy ground and were not placed on base plates or mud sills, thereby exposing employees to a 11 foot fall hazard.
