29 CFR 1926.502(h)(1)(v): The safety monitor had other responsibilities which could take the monitor's attention from the monitoring function: a. On or about May 4, 2015, roof area, employees removing metal panels were not protected from falling 9.6 feet to the ground because the safety monitor had other responsibilities such as helping to remove the panels, cutting panels, providing materials as needed. The safety monitor was changing a blade on a saw when the accident happened.
