29 CFR 1926.501(b)(13): Each employee(s) engaged in residential construction activities 6 feet (1.8 m) or more above lower levels were not protected by guardrail systems, safety net system, or personal fall arrest system: (a) 115 Market Street Lititz, PA - The employees were observed performing roofing work activity on a residential roof with a 6 in 12 pitch to a 4 in 12 pitch without the benefit of a fall protection system, thereby exposing employee to a fall of approximately 9 feet 1 inch to the ground below, on or about May 12, 2015. No abatement certification or documentation required.

29 CFR 1926.503(a)(1): The employer did not provide a training program for each employee potentially exposed to fall hazards to enable each employee to recognize the hazards of falling and the procedures to be followed in order to minimize these hazards: (a) 115 Market Street Lititz, PA - The employer did not provide training to employee(s) which would have allowed employee(s) to recognize the hazards of falling and the equipment and procedures to use to minimize those hazards, thereby exposing employees to possible injuries, on or about May 12, 2015. Abatement certification required within 10 days after abatement date. The certification shall include a statement that abatement is complete, date and method of abatement, and states employees and their representatives were informed of this abatement.
