29 CFR 1910.303(b)(1): Examination. Electric equipment shall be free from recognized hazards that are likely to cause death or serious physical harm to employees. Safety of equipment shall be determined using the following considerations:   The toggle switch attached to top of the vertical belt sander (Model 5018ES1BB56 or 5018E51BB56) had not been inspected and/or examined for defects and was not covered .  The recognized hazard of the on/off toggle switch is the switch is exposed to employees hitting or bumping against the switch causing unexpectedly activation of the belt sander which could cause serious physical harm to employees.

29 CFR 1910.303(g)(1)(i)(A): For electric equipment operating at 600 volts, nominal, or less to ground, and likely to require examination, adjustment, servicing, or maintenance while energized, the depth of the working space in the direction of access to live parts (as measured from the live parts where they were exposed or from the enclosure front or opening whwere they were enclosed) was less than indicated in Table S-1 of Subpart S of Part 1910:   The drill press, Manufacturer EDCO Mode# 125-1175, located in the maintenance area (Northeast portion of the building), was located 28 inches from the front panel of the Kaeser #1 electrical box when the panel required examination, adjustment, servicing, or maintenance while the panel was energized.  The hazardous condition would be restricted access to the electrical panel in case of an emergency.
