29 CFR 1926.501(b)(11): Each employee on a steep roof with unprotected sides and edges 6 feet or more above lower levels was not protected from falling by guardrail systems with toeboards, safety net systems, or personal fall arrest systems.  The employer does not ensure that employees on a steep roof with unprotected sides and edges 6 feet or more above lower levels are protected from falling.  This violation occurred on or about August 19, 2015, when employees were exposed to fall hazards while installing decking on a restaurant roof 6 feet or more above lower levels without a fall protection system.   Pursuant to 29 C.F.R. 1903.19, within ten (10) calendar days of the abatement date, the employer must submit documentation showing that it is in compliance with the standard, including describing the steps that it is taking to ensure that employees engaged in construction activities on a steep roof,  6 feet or more above lower levels are protected from falling.
