29 CFR 1926.501(b)(10): Each employee engaged in roofing activities on low sloped roofs, with unprotected sides and edges 6 feet or more above lower levels was not protected from falling by guardrail systems, safety net systems, personal fall arrest systems, or a combination of warning line system and guard rail system, warning line system and safety net system, or warning line system and personal fall arrest system, or warning line system and safety monitoring system. At a commercial roofing site, employees performing roofing work activities were not protected by fall protection and exposed to unprotected fall hazards: 1. On the west side of the building, employees installing sheet metal from the rooftop were exposed to a fall hazard of approximately 45 feet to the ground below. 2. On the south side of the building, an employee lifting materials from the rooftop was exposed to a fall hazard of approximately 45 feet to the ground below. 3. On the south side of the building, employees installing sheet metal and performing caulking work were exposed to a fall hazard of approximately 10 feet to the ground below. The TRI-LAM Roofing & Water Proofing was previously cited for a violation of this occupational safety and health standard or its equivalent standard 29 CFR 1926.501(b)(10): which was contained in OSHA inspection number 958359, citation number 1, item number 1 and was affirmed as a final order on March 28, 2014, with a final abatement date of April 14, 2014, with respect to a workplace located at 549 W. Loop 820 N, Fort Worth, TX 76108.
