General-duty citation text
29 CFR 1926.453(b)(2)(v): A body belt with lanyard attached to the boom or basket was not worn by employee(s) working from an aerial lift. As of January 01,1998, subpart M of this part, (Sec 502(d)) provides that body belts are not acceptable as part of a personal fall arrest system. Employee(s) need to properly wear full body harnesses and be tied off when working from an aerial lift: (a) Jobsite: On or about March 31, 2016, an employee was not wearing a safety harness nor was he tied off while he was working from an aerial lift. The fall hazard to the employee was about 15 feet to the ground.
