29 CFR 1926.451(c)(2): Supported scaffold poles, legs, posts, frames, and uprights shall bear on base plates and mud sills or other adequate firm foundation. On or about April 27, 2016, an employee was exposed to a fall hazard greater than 25 feet when the working surface of a supported scaffold tilted due to the employer failing to ensure the legs were on base plates and mud sills or other adequate firm foundation. Abatement documentation is required for this item in accordance with the requirements of 29 CFR 1903.19(d).
