29 CFR 1910.1025(h)(1): All surfaces were not maintained as free as practicable of accumulations of lead: a) SIPI Metals Corp., Chicago, IL- On August 4, 2016, all surfaces in the employee lunch room were not maintained as free as practicable of lead. Wipe samples collected from various surfaces in the employee lunch room, such as the refrigerator handle, the microwave handle and the water fountain spigot indicated the presence of lead ranging from 4.7 micrograms to 45.61 micrograms. In accordance with 29 CFR 1903.19(c), abatement certification is required for this violation (using the CERTIFICATION OF CORRECTIVE ACTION WORKSHEET).

29 CFR 1910.1027(k)(1): Surfaces were not maintained as free as practicable of accumulations of cadmium: a) SIPI Metals Corp., Chicago, IL- On August 4, 2016, all surfaces in the employee lunch room were not maintained as free as practicable of cadmium. Wipe samples collected from various surfaces in the employee lunch room, such as the refrigerator handle and the microwave handle indicated the presence of cadmium ranging from 0.34 micrograms to 0.58 micrograms. In accordance with 29 CFR 1903.19(c), abatement certification is required for this violation (using the CERTIFICATION OF CORRECTIVE ACTION WORKSHEET).
