On or about August 15, 2016 at worksite 9557 N. Main Street in Kansas City, Missouri- Employee was using a pnematic nail gun to secure shingles to the roof without having any means of eye or face protective equipment.   Abatement certification for this item is not required.

29 CFR 1926.501(b)(11): Each employee on a steep roof with unprotected sides and edges 6 feet (1.8 m) or more above lower levels was not protected from falling by guardrail systems with toeboards, safety net systems, or personal fall arrest systems:   On or about August 15, 2016 at worksite 9557 N. Main Street in Kansas City, Missouri- Employees were performing roofing operations at an elevated height on a steep pitch roof without any means of fall protection by way of guardrail systems, safety net systems, or personal fall arrest systems.   Abatement certification for this item is not required.

29 CFR 1926.1053(b)(1):   Where portable ladders were used for access to an upper landing surface and the ladders length allows, the ladder side rails did not extend at least 3 feet (.9 m) above the upper landing surface being accessed:   On or about August 15, 2016 at worksite 9557 N. Main Street in Kansas City, Missouri- Employees were accessing a working surface on a steep pitch roof by way of a portable ladder whose side rails did not extend at least 3 feet above the upper landing surface being accessed.     Abatement certification for this item is not required
