29 CFR 1910.134(e)(1): The employer did not provide a medical evaluation to determine the employee's ability to use a respirator, before the employee was fit tested or required to use the respirator in the workplace: (Construction Reference 1926.103)  a) Within the new building addition of the ShopRite at2909 Washington Road in Parlin NJ, employees performed demolition of a concrete block wall using hand-held powered chipping guns; for which the employer provided & required employees to wear half-face air-purifying respirators, such as 3M 6200 series, for protection from hazard of airborne crystalline silica.  Each respirator user was not provided a medical evaluation prior to assignment to duties requiring its use.  Condition(s) were noted or about 6/08/2017.

Employee(s) had not received chemical hazard training & information from their employer; to include the requirements of the OSHA rule as well as health hazards of crystalline silica present in the dust created during chipping and debris clean-up  Condition(s) were noted on or about 6/08/2017.
