29 CFR 1910.1026(l)(1)(iii): Employers shall include chromium (VI) in the hazard communication program established to comply with the HCS (�1910.1200). Employers shall ensure that each employee has access to labels on containers of chromium (VI) and to safety data sheets, and is trained in accordance with the requirements of HCS and paragraph (l)(2) of this section. On or about July 5, 2017, employees in the Welding Department were required to perform welding activities on carbon steel and stainless steel, exposing employees to the hazards associated with Chromium (VI). The employer did not ensure that Chromium (VI) was addressed in their hazard communication program, did not maintain safety data sheets, and did not provide employees training on the associated hazards with Chromium (VI). Abatement certification is required for this item in accordance with 29 CFR 1903.19(c).
