29 CFR 1926.501(b)(1): Each employee on a walking/working surface with an unprotected side or edge which was 6 feet (1.8 m) or more above a lower level was not protected from falling by the use of guardrail systems, safety net systems, or personal fall arrest systems. On or about July 13, 2017: a) Employees were exposed to fall hazards of approximately 40 feet while installing roofing insulation material without the use of fall protection measures. Employees were outside of the flagged area of the roof preforming work related tasks. In accordance with 29 CFR 1903.19(c), abatement certification is required for this violation (using the CERTIFICATION OF CORRECTIVE ACTION WORKSHEET).
