OSH ACT of 1970 Section (5)(a)(1): The employer did not furnish employment and a place of employment which were free from recognized hazards that were causing or likely to cause death or serious physical harm to employees (a) Roof of Building C - On or about January 26, 2018 employees were exposed to a fall hazard while using the scissor lift rails to climb to the top of metal beams on the roof. Among other methods, feasible and acceptable abatement methods to correct this hazard include the following: comply with the American National Standard for Self-Propelled Elevating Work Platforms (ANSI-SIA A92.6-2006)

29 CFR 1926.451(b)(2): Except as provided in paragraphs (b)(2)(i) and (b)(2)(ii) of this section, each scaffold platform and walkway shall be at least 18 inches (46 cm) wide. (a) Roof of Building C - On or about January 26, 2018 employees were exposed to a fall hazard while standing on the rails of a scissors lifts 28 feet above concrete with no fall protection. These employees used the scissor lift rails to climb to the top of metal beams on the roof. The scissor lift beams are less than 18 inches wide.
