29 CFR 1910.212(a)(1): One or more methods of machine guarding was not provided to protect the operator and other employees in the machine area from hazards such as those created by point of operation, ingoing nip points, rotating parts, flying chips and sparks:      a) At the Maintenance Shop, on or about 6/21/2018: Employees operated a Jet Drill Press without a guard around the rotating chuck.    b) At the Garage, on or about 6/21/2018: Employees operated a Wilton Drill Press without a guard around the rotating chuck.

The distance between the abrasive wheel periphery(s) and the adjustable tongue or the end of the safety guard peripheral member at the top exceeded one fourth inch:    a) Maintenance Shop, on or about 6/21/2018:  A Baldor grinder was used without a tongue guard, leaving a gap of one-half inch from the abrasive wheel.
