29 CFR 1904.39(a)(2): Within twenty-four (24) hours after the in-patient hospitalization of one or more employees or an employee's amputation or an employee's loss of an eye, as a result of a work-related incident, the employer did not report the in-patient hospitalization, amputation, or loss of an eye to OSHA.  On Thursday 3 May 2018 at approximately 7:00 PM, an employee was stepping out of their vehicle in the employer's parking lot when she slipped and fell, suffering a fractured left knee. The employee was hospitalized the same day, and was not released until 7 May 2018, four days later. The hospitalization was not reported within 24 hours to the local Area Office of the Occupational Safety and Health Administration. The Austin Area Office was notified on 7 May 2018 at approximately 6:28 PM.
