29 CFR 1926.501(b)(1): Each employee on a walking/working surface with an unprotected side or edge which was 6 feet (1.8 m) or more above a lower level was not protected from falling by the use of guardrail systems, safety net systems, or personal fall arrest systems.    At the job site located at 8959 E. U.S. Highway 40, Kansas City, Missouri: Employees were exposed to fall hazards.  Painters were observed painting from a window ledge working at height.  Painters were exposed to a fall distance of 13 feet to ground without the use of fall protection.
