29 CFR 1910.243(e)(1)(iii): A shutoff device that was provided did not stop operation of the motor or engine: (a) The safety interlock lock installed and provided by the manufacturer was inoperable and did not stop the operation of the motor or engine of the Skag Tiger Cat zero turn mower when the operator left the seat. This exposed employees to a struck-by hazard of the rotating mower blades.
