29 CFR 1910.212(a)(1): One or more methods of machine guarding was not provided to protect the operator and other employees in the machine area from hazards such as those created by point of operation, ingoing nip points, rotating parts, flying chips and sparks:     Fresh Production Department.  On or about November 12 through November 20, 2018, employees were exposed to injuries such as amputations and fractures from exposure to rotating parts and ingoing nip points on the following machines:       a)  Pac Tec Cup Filling Machine.  The moving chain conveyor on the machine was not guarded, exposing employees to getting caught on the chain and pulled into the machine.     b)  Packing Conveyor, Loma Co. Metal Detector, near floor level.  The sprocket and belt assembly for the metal detector was not guarded, exposing employees to getting caught in the ingoing nip point.     Abatement documentation is required for this item in accordance with the requirements of 29 CFR 1903.19(d).
