29 CFR 1910.132(d)(1): The employer did not assess the workplace to determine if hazards are present, or are likely to be present, which necessitate the use of personal protective equipment (PPE): a) Deli: On or about November 29, 2018 and at times prior thereto; employees used a corrosive chemical to clean the fryer - Ecolab Greasestrip Plus, CAS 1310-73-2, CAT 1 eye damage hazard, but did not have access to safety eyewear or chemical resistant gloves. b) Deli and Bakery: On or about November 29, 2018 and at times prior thereto; employees used a corrosive chemical to clean floors, and food contact surfaces, but did not have access to safety eyewear - Ecolab Lmentary No-rinse Drain & Floor Cleaner Sanitizer, CAT 1 eye damage hazard, and Kay, Kayquat II, CAT I eye damage hazard. Note* Abatement certification IS required for this item.
